Gunning for Launch

It’s been awhile since we updated the blog.  Here’s what we’ve been up to.

We are working towards sun-setting Nirvana 1, bringing everyone over to Nirvana 2. As soon as we’ve confirmed that all of our i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed, new users will land directly in N2. Existing N1 users will also land in N2 on login, with all of their N1 data automatically migrated over. For users with both N1 and N2 account data we’ll provide a way to choose which data to keep.

We are busy implementing those last few features from N1 that have not yet been brought to N2, such as Daily Emails Pokes and the Tag Cloud.

We will also be removing the need for an invite code during signup.  (yay!)   No more delays between signing up and getting in.

On the native mobile apps front, we are happy with what we’ve seen so far with our chosen framework (titanium), which will allow us to leverage the bulk of our existing code base (written in javascript) while still providing native device UI and performance. We’re targeting (key word there being target) late summer / early fall for initial release. More on this in future posts.

So, Montreal is in full F1 Grand Prix mode… people are pouring into the streets… summer is in the air… Enjoy the weekend everyone.
