Areas of Responsibility: What’s the hold up?

We’re close… we’re really really close.  In fact, Areas of Responsibility in the desktop browser version is ready to ship!  BUT, we realized (in hindsight, like idiots) that we need to make some significant modifications to the mobile version so as to not muck things up for those of you who bounce between desktop and mobile Nirvana, which a lot of folks do.  Specifically, the mobile version doesn’t retain assigned Areas at present, and there is no way to filter or move tasks/projects between Areas.  But we’re on the case.

Timeframe?  I’d say single digit days away from release.  Thanks for understanding.

Search Results now grouped by Lists/Projects

Just a heads up… an intermediary release went out last night.

Some of the building blocks we’ve been working on for upcoming features lent themselves to easily enhancing some existing features.  Most notably, Search now returns results grouped by lists / projects.  It may not be worth a whole lot of fanfare, but it certainly helps us validate some core logic that we’re putting in place to allow tasks to be rendered as a straight ahead list vs. grouped by parent list.

Other places we could apply this code includes Today, Waiting For, and soon, Areas of Responsibility, Smartlists, and Tag Clouds.

What is GTD®?

GTD® rests on the principle that a person needs to move tasks out of the mind by recording them externally. That way, the mind is freed from the job of remembering everything that needs to be done, and can concentrate on actually performing those tasks.
